By using this site, you agree to the following in full, including items linked into it from other pages.

Virus and spyware protection 

All items are thoroughly virus checked and scanned for spyware and adware  prior to upload onto the site, and the site itself is as secure as possible. Nonetheless, we strongly recommend that you virus-check any thing and everything that you download from all internet sites, not just Selfworks. We can't accept any responsibility for viruses, spyware, and any similar problems you may encounter (see more on this below).

Because your privacy is important to us, we promise:

1) Never to pass on or sell your details to any party outside Selfworks unless forced to by law.

2) Only ever to require the minimum amount of data from you. (We deal with online products and can't see why we'd ever need more than this. Payment processors like Paypal, obviously do need more, but it's them that ask for, hold and are responsible for that info, not us).

3) Only ever to send you email updates that you've indicated you actually wanted to receive by:

a) Signing up for updates with us (either on the site or when asked about it specifically as part of the purchasing and/or downloading of a product).

b) Confirming that sign-up when a confirmation email is then sent to you.

c) Respecting your right to remove yourself from any list at any time via the "auto-unsubscribe" details at the bottom of each email update.

d) Please note that in addition to the above points, upon signing up as a site user, you agree that we have the right to send you any necessary occasional emails informing you of issues that affect your status as user, including (but not confined to) things like, changes to the login system.

Use of the site

All use of the site is at the users own risk. in particular, users contributing any kind of material, comment or review retain all copyright in those contributions, but agree not to post anything which could be in any way construed as offensive, defamatory, insulting or incendiary. In addition, Selfworks cannot accept any responsibility for third-party posts or contributions.

Buying downloads or other products  from us

Our downloads are written or chosen and screened thoroughly, to give you high-quality products. However:

-When you buy a download or other product from us, all same terms appy as to our free downloads (eg the info is for education, entertainment and information purposes only, and bo results can be guaranteed, as we are all individuals). Also, despite the fact that we check all products for adware and spyware, we still strongly advise you to perform all your own checks on your own machine, anas we can't be responsible for any damage that might occur in this way.

-When you buy a download or other product, the transaction will take place via Paypal's secure server, and the handling of your secure data is Paypal's responsibility.

-Paypal is currently the sole method of payment on the site.

-When you buy a download, the system should re-direct you straight to a page from which to download that product.

-If you buy a physical package, the delivery details will be those given in the product's description on the site

Use of Selfworks' material

1) In general, please request our permission to distribute any site contents or material for which you have paid. We ask you to do this so that our mission, to provide low-cost personal development material to all, can be sustained and maintained.

2) Free audio downloads, course samples and articles produced by Selfworks may be distributed without permission, provided that no change whatsoever is made to them. Work by third parties will be governed by its own terms: please check this within any document before distributing it.

If any article produced by Selfworks.Net is used, eg in an ezine, advance notice and a copy of the article when published is much appreciated.

Usage of general site  material

Please also note that all site contents and courses are produced for educational purposes only, and all aspects of their  their usage remains the responsibility of site users at all times. In particular, users remain responsible for the way in which material is used in their own lives, and should always seek advice from other professionals be they medical, legal or otherwise) where appropriate. If any download makes any claim to the attainment of any kind of success, be it financial, occupational, medical or anything else, please, please, please remember that this information is general and for information only, and cannot be a promise of anything similar for any specific individual.

In addition, though we check everything as thoroughly as we can, we can't be responsible for any technical problems or glitches of any kind in any way connected to this site (though fortunately, they are few and far between, thanks to our great  technical support, see below).

Also-we strive to recommend only the best of other people's stuff here, but obviously, have no control or responsibility over them. Please let us know if you have problems with them and if we agree with you, we'll act upon the information immediately.

The same goes for other people's comments onm the site. Whilst we can and do check this regularly, it belongs to them, and can in no way be our responsibility.

As with Selfworks' own material, all items are offered for information only, and it remains your responsibility to seek appropriate professional advice whenever it is required.

Also, because we simply can't be responsible for other people, you agree to hold us harmless in any action between you and a third party in which you might otherwise think of getitng us involved. This includes (but isn't limited to) affiliates, third-party suppliers, manufacturers , ISPs and other telecom or Web-related service providers, Paypal and any other payment processors, and purchasers.

Testimonials

Any  testimonials used on the site:

1) Are used with the permission of those who gave the comments, and

2) Can be viewed (along with the permission to quote them to use them as testimonials) at Selfworks' address (given under contact details).

Changes

Selfworks reserves the right to change any part of this policy at any time without notice, though it will send out details of major changes vis the Selfworks GoodyBag and the blog.

Affiliate Policy

Affiliates must abide by the specific Selfworks Affiliate policy.

Dispute resolution

In the unlikely event of a dispute arising...

The upshot of all this is that by using this site, you agree to these terms, and if there are any issues to resolve them via direct communication with us,  and independent mediation...with litigation, under the laws of England, only as a last resort.
